Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013

As you are aware, the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 is a central legislation in India that seeks to protect women from sexual harassment at their place of work.

One of the most important feature of this Act mandated every establishment having ten (10) or more employees, to constitute an ‘Internal Complaints Committee’ at each of its office or branch. Similarly, the District Officer was required to constitute a ‘Local Complaints Committee’ at each district, and if required at the block level.
