The Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Bill, 2016
The Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Bill, 2016 (the Amendment) was recently passed by both the houses of the Parliament to amend certain provisions of the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961. This Amendment will become a law once it receives assent from the Hon’ble President of India and will come into effect from the date that it is notified in the Official Gazette.
